• Policy Update: Standing Committee on Finance releases it’s 2019 Pre-Budget Consultation : 12/18/2018

    Dear Bev,

    Each year, the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance invites Canadians to share their ideas for the next federal budget. The Committee then presents a report to the House with its recommendations.

    This year’s theme was: “Economic Growth: Ensuring Canada’s Competitiveness” and over 650 parties, including the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, responded.  Many of the recommendations from their report echo those in our Pre-Budget Submission. You can find their final report here. 

    Many of the Committee's key recommendations reflect input from the Canadian Chamber on what Canadian businesses would like to see in the 2019 Federal Budget.
