Chamber receives Rural Dividend Funding: 2/17/2017

The Fort Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Province of British Columbia and the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations through the Rural Dividend Program has approved a grant of $10,000 in project development funding.
 
The project will gather stakeholders from First Nations, local government organizations, and the community to collectively develop solutions aimed at increasing economic stability and generating sustainable local employment.  The project will provide the opportunity to collaboratively determine a common goal and direction, share information and identify complementary solutions.    
 
The Rural Dividend Funding will provide the Northern Rockies’ & First Nation communities with the capacity to develop a thorough project proposal leading to a possible future project application.
 
The Fort Nelson & District Chamber of Commerce represents business within the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and is a strong advocate of local business and community.
